Risk Factor:

Osteoporosis is not a single cause, but risk factors play an important role in bone destruction. These include

  • age: the risk of fractures increases with age.
  • Family history of bone disease: especially when mother suffered from hip joint.
  • Low Calcium Intake: Since calcium plays an important role in bone formation, calcium deficiency can be overcome by ingesting supplements.
  • Too much alcohol and caffeine intake: 2 drinks a day, coffee, tea, 4 soft cups or more.
  • Early menopause: Up to 40 years old.

Symptoms:

Heart problems:
