Proposal for a healthy diet of rabbits

Regardless of whether you have a home pet or breeder, the proper diet keeps the rabbits healthy. This is true, but the type of rabbit food you provide depends on the life stage of the animal. In general, rabbits are prosperous with 16% protein diet. Nursing mothers and their kits require at least 18% protein.

The effect of constant and unbalanced diet is easy to recognize. The coat is dull. Rabbits have weak immune systems and often experience digestive problems. Baby rabbits grow slow

rabbit food suggestions

  1. Timothy Grass Hey – Always get this type of hay to ensure your rabbit has enough fiber. Without hay, your fluff may be annoyed by the hair bulb and may suffer from diarrhea. Animals are probably obese.
  2. Alfalfa Hay – If it is the only hay type in your area, this should be given only to adults. Quantities need to be restricted. This hay has a high protein content, too much calcium, and rabbits have too much calories.
  3. Rabbit Pellet Production – A bite-sized rabbit pellet that can be obtained at stores is made of raw materials such as mowing, vitamins, minerals, etc. It is good for bunny digestive system. Expert breeders recommend feeding twice daily. Give 1/8 to 1/4 of the standard cup per 5 pounds of rabbit weight. Avoid colored pellets and waste products.
  4. Green leaf vegetables like fresh vegetables and fruits – romaine, parsley, endura, ragla, cheryl, dandelion, colored greens are excellent choices. Iceberg lettuce should not be on your rabbit food list. Its nutritional value is limited. If you want to prevent enteritis (inflammation of the small intestine), please do not supply vegetables and fruits to the baby bunnies. Slowly introduce these new foods to your young rabbit and watch their progress.
  5. – carrots are starchy and should be given as conservative treatment. I will slowly guide your rabbit to fruits such as apples, pears, strawberries, plums, peaches, bananas and melons. Rabbits must be at least 6 months old before introducing these types of rabbit food.

Water is essential for rabbit meals. It adjusts the temperature of the animal on a hot summer day. Regardless of the type of water supply system you are using, change the water every day.
