How to eat for a pack of six (YEAR ROUND!)

When trying to eat a pack of six, people get stuck in the details and get frustrated. If you want to get sit-ups and keep them throughout the year, it is absolutely necessary to find a meal plan approach that you can follow. Think about it, how many diets have you followed to get sit-ups just so that you can not keep up … and lose your six-pack soon after? If you rely on carbohydrate-restricted eating plans, obsessive measurement of food, overcomplication of macros, etc., you are only making your chances of being pulled out much more difficult.

In this video, I show you a simple feeding technique that you can apply to any meal to make sure you're on the right track. You divide your plate and fill it with proteins, fibrous carbohydrates and starchy carbohydrates (in explained amounts) without getting away from the important high-quality incidental fats.

Start by occupying half of your plate with protein. You can choose the protein source you prefer, be it chicken, meat, turkey, fish, lentils or any other vegetarian source, if you wish. Next, decide the remaining half based on your given physical goals. If you are overweight and need to start losing a substantial amount of body fat, you definitely do not want to avoid carbohydrates, but must choose most fibrous sources.

There are so many options to choose from, but my favorites are zucchini and onions, broccoli rabe, stewed carrots and grilled asparagus, to name a few.

If you are not fighting weight problems and instead focus on developing lean and lean athletic muscle, you would divide the remaining half with healthy sources of complex carbohydrates or with starch. Once again, my favorites here are sweet potatoes, pasta and brown rice, to name a few.

The key to eating a six pack (and keeping it) is to choose foods that you really like. There is no quicker way to give up your goal of getting a six pack than to force yourself to eat foods you hate. What's worse, make the preparation of the meal a ten-step process if it is likely to make you want to stop smoking too quickly.
