The importance of fruits and vegetables to healthy diets has been known for quite a while, but in the study a very small number of people have been shown to recommend fruits and vegetables in healthy eating habits .

The revised USDA food pyramid contains five major food groups, cereals, vegetables, fruits, milk and dairy products, meat and beans. When choosing food for a balanced and healthy diet of these groups it is important to eat the various foods of each food group. Doing so will not only give you a wide variety of things, not to get bored, it also provides the best nutritional balance. In addition to widely known micronutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin C, all foods contain various kinds of nutrients such as fat, protein, fiber and water. It exists in very small amounts, but micronutrients are very important to health.
